After some beautiful days in Raiatea & Tahaa, it's time to head west. As I've been to Bora Bora before, I skipped it these time and sailed straight to Maupiti. Sunny skies, 15-20kn from 120-180°, approx 2m waves - a typical downwind sail in the South Pacific. Several sail changes from wing on wing with poled out genoa to traditional main/genoa.

Tough conditions with some wind against current. Steep waves - uncomfortable & wet. But ended up with >200NM in 24h 🚀

Started with very little wind but still choppy seas. After 2 short rain showers, the wind got stable around 20kn. Confused seas around 2m and some spray in the cockpit. For the night I went for the 2nd reef in Genoa & Main,as the wind picked up to around 25kn. Arrived in the early morning with dying winds from the north ⛵🌞

Starting from Carriacou at 9am with ESE 15kn. Wind dropped half way down to 5kn, but came back when approaching the finish line. 3rd place overall 🏆

Nice overnight sail, arriving with sunrise at the rock of Gibraltar.
