When I was steering, it was easier to see the beam reach point of sail, as I can sail perpendicular to the waves/ripples Learnings: - you don’t need to go wing wing if you’re sailing downwind - wing on wing is challenging because you need to keep your point of sale directly downwind, otherwise if you move too much the left or right it can cause an accidental jybe. Waves can make it even more complicated. - when preparing the bow and stern lines for docking make sure that it goes out and over the lifeline so it’s easier to throw when docking - when folding the foresail, you can use the lifeline to flake it, then fold it in half and use the bungee cord too fasten the foresail while going back to the dock - when tying the main sail, ensure that the main halyard is also under the sailTies
