Exciting day! Full sun, 15-20 knots on a close reach almost all day. A little motor / sailing until the engine died. Overheard my first Pan-Pan. Approached the marina under sail, a few tacks, then the engine started but died just at the marina entry. A little worry as we were drifting for the jetty, dropped anchor and it held then towed to the pontoon at 11pm. A big day! And that, concludes this delivery. About 20 nm short of our destination, but close enough. 😅 A great trip!

Heavy seas leaving Camaret, as we crossed the bay. Running with the tide and the wind, around the point with le Phare Saint-Mathieu at our side. Double reefed Genoa only and we made 8.2 knots. Continued with the wind and tide all day. Max speed 11.4 knots, with sustained 31 knot wind gust. A long rough day, cold and windy with lots of rain. A typical day in Brittany I’m told.

4am departure to reach the tidal gate at Pointe du Rez at 13:00. No wind but made 9 knots running with the tide, rounded the point and sailed with light winds across the Celtic Sea. Quite the dramatic day!

6am departure, 3 hrs watch rotation. Sailed downwind all day with a tidal current up to 6 knots. Sun, wind, rain and some rainbows.

Depart lock at Rochefort marina. Motored into the bay and sailed through the night. 3am gybe from port to starboard. 15 knots of wind and a rolling sea. Night watch 23:30 - 3:30 and 6:30-9:30. A tiring, yet exciting (and cold!) night. First time sailing in the Atlantic!

Midnight departure, motored away from Alimos marina. 6-9am watch. Day sailing in heavy N winds, 20 kts. Second night 12-3am watch, arrived in mandrakos 11am
