Good start. I did foredeck with Sarah. Strong ebb but there was decent wind, thankfully. New electric motor named! Old one is “Darren” and new one is “Tabitha”. She’s real pretty!

Light winds and strong ebb! Missed the start of our fleet 🤦🏻‍♀️ But caught up to them at windward mark and passed them! It was a parking lot there-more than 12 boats fighting the ebb. Dawn chose to squeeze by 5.5 and made it giving us a lead but the downwind was a bust because we couldn’t fly kite well on beam reach. I helmed half of the downwind (besides being backstay bitch). Then we lost steerage at the finish line because of ebb and lack of wind. Finally crossed the finish line after doing 360 just to get us in the proper position. Then Sarah wanted to rescue a wooden sushi boat and we called that our prize. 🏆 For DFL…

Flood behind AYC . Race opposite way. Rain was so hard that the cockpit was a bath tub! Hit the 2nd mark 🤦🏻‍♀️ then the wind died so it took awhile to do the 360 (esp when racers are coming at us). Then wind died again and we had to scull to get back to the dock. But we placed 3rd! Some went through start line when not on the course and it’s considered an obstruction. So disqualified.
