Had to abort trip to Isle of Wight again after smoke coming from engine (loose belt) & water sloshing above floorboards (exhaust box worked loose). Repaired on Wych mooring & o to evening anchorage of Goathorn Point

Set off from Poole for Newtown Creek but turned back after encountering several 30+kt gusts in Bournemouth Bay (forecast 15kt G20!). Anchored overnight in quiet Blood Alley in lee of Brownsea Island.
