Grew up dinghy sailing with a little larger boat sailing and a lot of motor boating (ICC since 1996 and own boat for 20 years). Started my new sailing journey in 2025 gaining Day Skipper theory in Feb 2026 and practical in April. Looking for opportunities to build miles either on my own, or with my girlfriend (Competent Crew).

Motored to fuel stop, sailed to lunch and then sailed as far as we could before the final motor up the channel.

Sailed to see the pigs on the beach. Hit strong winds and fight to keep on course but made it around the corner to anchor in relative shelter to swim to the beach. Followed by a long afternoon sail to find shelter for the night.
