Very light breeze today, so opted for a long day on the beach before returning to Nikiana to hand back S/Y Blue Navy. Very satisfying docking in a very tight spot. Everyone with fenders out, none needed 🤟

Some beautiful morning sailing. Laurie finally napped. anchored by some great caves for a long lunch. Ralph and Dianne went swimming. Bay hopped to our final space. Anchor kept slipping so moved around the corner.

Early start to anchor in the beautiful Atika Cliff Bay. Ruth had to go diving in ~7m water to retrieve the paddle board paddle, which had sunk. Then we built sandcastles on the beach. After lunch we went via One House Bay. Failed to anchor as it was so busy so just waved to the pigs on the beach. Then a lovely sail to Fiskardo. No room in the marina, so have anchored off.

Heavy chop on the beam. Gusts >26kts, even waves hitting the fly bridge. Vathy harbour very busy. ended up on anchor in 22m. Ruth took a big fall whilst setting anchor, went not through the forward cockpit table and a gash to head.

No wind to start with so motored to an impromptu swim stop at Episkopi. Beautiful island, looked like rawer parts of lush rain forest Caribbean. The wind filled as we rounded Kalamos and we did a slow beat to Kastos. Now rafted alongside Ben Scholfield and his charter crew.

Delayed departure to wait for the charter management to fix the genset and replace some head parts, so skipped the lunch anchor spot and took the scenic route to Vathy. Laurie slept for a good hour. Managed to bag the worst berth in Vathy with an exposed cross wind and some unhelpful/angry Germans.

Wind 4kts - 7kts. Upwinds and M0 manoeuvres

A wonderful day of 3 parts. Part 1: Leaving the multihull centre and tying up for breakfast on a mooring buoy. Part 2: Cat close quarters handling practice in the buoys. Paul was very patient teaching us on his new, high performance yacht to give us some crucial lessons before a charter trip in Croatia. Very windy conditions - challenging! Part 3: Flying around Plymouth outside the breakwater. 13kts SOG and a visit from a RIB to inform us there was a submarine below us! Great day, great conditions.
