Day 1: Overturned Migrant Rib seen upturned. x2 giant Mahi Mahi caught. Day 2: settled into routine, heading SW away from the Canary Islands. Day 3: Pilot Whales seen off port bow. Flying fish. Day 4: Lone turtle seen swimming East. Flying fish. Day 5: Flying fish. Day 6: x1 giant Mahi Mahi caught, fish curry on the way. Day 7: Cordial running dangerously low. Soon to be on plain tank water. First hoist of the Spinaker!! No small feat. Day 8: Mid Atlantic swim, one crew stung by jellyfish. Shark turned up and cut the swim short. Onwards… Pre dinner, caught our first Wahoo. Day 9: Spinaker hoist first light, flown all day, dropped in the dark to allow for flying the kite at night moving forward. Day 10: Saw a sperm whale, caught a Wahoo which we ate for dinner. Hit the 1000 miles to destination milestone. Day 11: Dolphins alongside and playing at the bow for a few miles. Unknown large species. Day 12: Floating fridge/freezer passed the boat. 700 miles to go. Day 13: Giant Barracuda caught. First major squall, soaked at sunrise. Quick pack of the Spinaker early evening for second major squall. Day 14: A quiet day in routine, not much to report. 350 miles to go. Day 15: Giant Wahoo caught, ate for lunch. 100 miles to go, doe to arrive in Barbados early hours tomorrow. Nice crossing, the hardest part was the extreme heat below.
