Flat calm, glass like sea nearly all the way, slight SE breeze after Capo Carbonara

2m swell broadside for first hour or so, then on our transom. Had to slow the boat to avoid too much high speed surfing. We then had a Stern Thruster failure on the approach to Bonifacio.

This was the first run of the boat in nearly 7 weeks so we took the first 40 minutes easy slowly running up the speed from 1000 to 2000 RPM. With a slight engine over heat issue at 2000 RPM, we cut back for an uneventful trip at 1800 RPM. Seas remained flat throughout and weather turned on the approach to Corsica coast with cloud cover and a slowly building breeze

Surprisingly rolly! Gentle but persistent swell coming in from the Med. Great fun to motor down past Monaco and see it all from the water. Beautifully sunny day. Anchored just off Menton beach for a bit of rocking lunch!
