Quick hop to the beach South of Corinth to go find a possible repair or pump for the port engine. (Water pump leaking). Tried first one, no luck, 2nd one, no luck and finally on the other side of Corinth off the highway, no luck. Refitted the pump with a new belt at least. Cleaned up but still dripping constantly. Will decide later!

Good start just after sunrise under the castle. Good following swell and fairly stiff breeze. Put up the Genoa and kept a fair pace towards the Corinth Canal. Decided to go as far as possible until sunset. Got to Kiato just after sunset. Anchored in 8m just outside the port. Hopefully the big swell settles and the sleep is good!

Left before midday along the long channel out of Messolonghi, beautiful town. Passed abeam Phil and Judy on the way towards Patras and the clearing of the Rio Bridge. Wind was forecast to be from behind (Westerly) but turned out to be almost head on the whole way until our anchorage below the castle in Navpaktos. Very interesting clearing of the Rio-Antirrio bridge, first call at 5nm to specify height of mast etc and then a final call at 1nm for final clearance through Pylon 1 and 2 on the Northern side. Reached our anchorage at 19H00! Beautiful view of the little up castle.

Started off with beautiful weather and flat water and motor sailed with full main for a few miles. Wind instead of being NW turned into an Easterly going up to 30 knts and big swell on the nose for the last 10 to 12 nm's. Motored with both engines and had to beat into rough swell. One of the worst trips in last 3 years. Eventually reached the 2.5nm channel into Messolonghi. Calm and brilliant protection once on the Public Quay. Quick walk into town, wi-fi for internet connection, a pizza and very good sleep. Nice harbour and interesting town so far!

Moved over from the anchorage to a spot on the wall to visit the Landman's. They came onboard and after a few snacks we decided to do a day trip out in the sea and back via the northern anchorage bay. Sailed for a short time but the wind died. Motored back through the bay and back onto the wall in Vathy. Decided to anchor in front to of their house and dinghy-ed ashore for a wonderful visit and meal. Short hop back and a good night sleep before our longish haul tomorrow over to Ormos Oxia.

Beautiful day. Took a motor down to Meganisi and visited each bay until eventually finding a spot to anchor at about two on from Vathy.

Short hop down to Nydri main to watch the rugby and go ashore to retrieve my Cap and headphones. Had a great pizza and drink and then returned for a good sleep.

Left the pontoon early, Jax left for Preveza and the bus and Jade and I went to check the road wall for a temp mooring. Found a big opening next to a Ukranian keeler who helped us tie up. Moored in nicely but starboard engine kept cutting out. Jax eventually returned at about 11 and we packed up to leave with one motor. Motored down to Kariotes into a fair headwind. Anchored there and five on the prop. Luckily it was covered in fishing rope? Cut off and tested, all good? Lifted anchor and moved south to Vliho. Very full so we turned around and headed back to North Nydri. Anchored in deep water (15m+) and will await the predicted rain and thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow.

Finished repairing the port alternator with Matt and then left to go back up to Lefkada. Moderate 10 knt wind on the nose. Motored all the way up through the channel. Could not find a mooring on the northern public quay. Eventually found a spot at Ionian Catamarans and staying for two days. Time ti provision and do a Port Police check in and out before heading South.

Moved up to Plagia for the possible Thunderstorms. Started at about 8 to 10 am with wind. thunder and rain. Luckily not too serious. Started moving back to Nydri when the wind came up to 20-25 kts with rain etc. Pulled into the side bay for an hour or so. Once the sun came back out we set off back to the anchorage north of Nydri. Pretty deep 15m+. Hopefully a good evening.
