Got up early to raise the anchor from between all the rocks. Had one or two wrap arounds but eventually got it up with no further problems!🙏. Went into Detis Bay to scout a possible anchor spot for the night in case! Great spot, shallow with plenty of sand and good wind protection. Moved up to the anchorage at Koufonisias next to the port. Tucked in against the houses and cliff. Great holding and protection. Going to stay here for the next 2 days probably. Winds predicted at 40kmph gusting to 60kmph. (22 to 35kts or so).

Káto Koufonísion to Koufonísi, Greece
Cold and choppy after a night of waiting for a possible thunderstorm! Luckily it and the rain did not come! Left after coffee and a strong following West wind and swell. Rough at first and then directly behind until we turned into the west bay. Great protection and smooth after the trip. Nice anchorage, lots of rock between the sand patches. Hopefully no problem with the anchor and chain in the morning!

Ágios Geórgios to Káto Koufonísion, Greece
Left Ios port after Jax did provisioning for a week or so. I topped up our water and we had some bakery pies and coffee before setting off for Iraklea. Wind from behind, abeam and close hauled at the end. Windy but made good ave speed off 5kts or so. Arrived at Paralia Vorini at just after 13h00. Beautiful little deserted bay and beach for the nights anchorage.

Íos to Ágios Geórgios, Greece
Woke up at sunrise. Anchor held in rocky area luckily, light winds. Started off at 8ish into fresh southerly. Motorsailed at 4.5 to 5.2 kts or so. Fairly smooth and sunny.Got hurried into marina/ port area with a ferry chasing us into port! Got an alongside mooring i the middle of village, nice. App offline at agents. Have to return tomorrow. Took a walk to Port Police and did some provisioning with Jax for boat and Rugby Saturday! Boks vs Frogs. Big one! Jax painting the boat still, doing a fantastic job, looking like a million bucks (SA bucks). 😁

Karavostásis to Íos, Greece
Still fairly windy and swelly into us for 4 to 5nm leaving the anchorage. After exiting turned east but it remained very bumpy. Improved once we turned SE through the channel. Headed SE to southern side of island. Smooth and calm until rounding the SE corner and coming up North to the anchorage area. Very little wind luckily, ground is 90% rock. Anchor appears to be holding and luckily no wind predicted until tomorrow morning only. We are about 23nm from Santorini! Contemplating maybe going there tomorrow!

Adámas to Karavostásis, Greece
Left before sunrise for the long voyage to Milos. Plenty of traff8c rounding last finger of the Peloponese. Light following wind, motoring with genoa at times. AWA stopped working yesterday. Pain at times. Alternated engines hourly until 15nm to go. Nice breeze for close haul and both motors. 6.2 kts. Made it to Milos at Sunset. Anchored near entrance, all good until a 4am thunderstorm and driving rain. Pulled up anchor and motored near centre of the bay until squall passed. Lost my chart plotter cover in squall! Jax did well with lifting anchor and keeping things dry! Showered and made our way to Adamantas main anchorage. Great spot and good holding with good protection from strong NE wind. Tomorrow very strong winds starting for most of the day. Will have to sit tight for another day!

Neápoli to Ákra Zómpolo, Greece
Slightly windy and picked up as we approached the shallow channel through to the North. Too windy to stop at Elafonisis port so we pushed on to beach anchorage before moving down to port tomorrow.

Káto Nisí to Ionian Sea, Greece
Moved off at just after 7am. Restless night due to being right next to cliff face and possible wind change. Fair breeze for about 60% of trip with a nice wind assistance for the genoa and then motored for the balance until reaching the anchorage. Absolutely windless and one of the most beautiful bays and clear water. Should be a great sleep tonight! Probably my No 1 anchorage on our whole trip this year!
