Started out early as we had 40nm+ to do today. Put the main up and had a fair wind from the beam and moved along nicely. Wind increased in strength to about 20knts and put the Genoa out as well with the 2nd reef spot. Sailed nicely at about 9.5kts for the bulk of the middle period. Once behind the land the wind dropped and actually came from the North at about 7knts. Once we got within 3 nm's the wind changed back to a strong southerly and then eventually died as we rounded the breakwall and headed for the anchorage spot on the NE of the port. Anchorage well protected and good sandy bottom.

Beautiful, warm almost windless day. Woke up in a beautiful bay and made our way up to Delos. Picked our way very slowly at the port due to the very low water levels. (Lowest was 1.6m). Moved over to the anchorage at Little Venice and took a walk through the Old Town. Had a drink and chips at a restaurant overlooking Soulmate in the bay. Got back on board and motored slowly around in glassy conditions to our night anchorage at Agios Sostis beach on the NW of Mykonos.

Up early in a very nice anchorage and set out to Azolimnos to get closer to town to find some LPG. Great sandy anchorage, took a walk up to a Shell/Nisos gas supplier on the hill. Picked up a full cylinder and headed back to the boat. Set out for a visit to Delos tomorrow. Got to Ormos Proteos on Rineia for the evening anchorage. Absolutely stunning sandy and clear water spot. One of the best!

Beautiful day! Calm sea and light wind going up to a max 8 to 10 knts. Motor sailed to the beautiful little port of Finikas. Very helpful and friendly locals! Tried for a 11kg LPG for the umpteenth time at the local fuel station, no luck again!

Left our excellent anchorage and beat up into the wind to attempt an anchor near the Olympic Marina to possibly see some of the Yacht show. No luck, no space and very windy and choppy. Had brunch and then decided to use the wind to get past Makronisos Island down to Koundouros, on Kea Island. Very windy and had big swell on a broad reach and wind up to 30knts. Rough ride but had up to 7 or 8 knts sog at times. Had to secure the tender at times, was flipping up due to the wind. Made fast progress to the bay and turned in. Went from super rough to beautifully flat and calm. Used a buoy furthest NW. Calm here with 30 knts outside!!

Good recovery sleep. Swell was very light from the south. Most charter boats already raised their anchors and moved on. We motored out of Sounia Bay and around the Cape and up to find refuge for today's thunderstorms and the next two days of Meltemi. (Predicted gusts up to 80 kmph). Already had our first downpour as we were re anchoring. Nice and shallow and lots of chain out. Sitting and waiting!!

Anchorage was windy and very rolly. Dragged a few meters at stages during the night and morning. Luckily held enough, possibly due to another crab pot etc. No sleep and had a fairly long one to Sounia. Wind assisted in the morning and did about 5 to 6 knts with the Genoa out. Eventually started dying down and brought the sails down and motored the last portion into the Bay with the Temple of Poseidon up on the hill. Looks like a good spot. Early sleep tonight.

Calm with light wind on the nose to Aegina. Motored to anchorage on southern side of the port. Very full and busy with numerous ferries. Wind came up and we dragged, nearly into a keeler behind. Started up and headed a few hundred meters away and re anchored. Strong winds of 25 knts. Have to wait for change of wind from South to North in about 2 hours. Will have to reassess once the change takes place.

Left before midday along the long channel out of Messolonghi, beautiful town. Passed abeam Phil and Judy on the way towards Patras and the clearing of the Rio Bridge. Wind was forecast to be from behind (Westerly) but turned out to be almost head on the whole way until our anchorage below the castle in Navpaktos. Very interesting clearing of the Rio-Antirrio bridge, first call at 5nm to specify height of mast etc and then a final call at 1nm for final clearance through Pylon 1 and 2 on the Northern side. Reached our anchorage at 19H00! Beautiful view of the little up castle.
