Mild to light winds. Still hot and humid. Did a circumnavigation of the Island to check the Island bunkers and defenses. Very interesting and anchored now for the evening.

Hot and Humid! Day motor sail to Saran Island to anchor. Humidity at 70 to 75%. Light NE blowing. Hopefully no swell at last tonight. One of the very few easterly anchorages in Albania.

Bad westerly swell all night. Early departure for a short hop down to Vlore Port anchorage. Made some water and topped up our power. Temps above 36 and humidity above 80. Lots of short showers!

Long day, started at 6.30 and ended at anchorage just o er 12 hrs later. Good following wind and swell the whole way. As we neared Saran Island swell increased substantially. Tried to anchor off SE corner of Saran Island but there were already 3 to 5 boats already at anchor. Had to fo an extra hour across to Cacai Beach for the evening. Shallow and good mud holding. Only problem is NW swell that rolls in!

Sunny with light winds. Watched the entrance of a Greek Navy vessel entrance and then took a slow sail out and back.

Woke up to beautiful calm conditions. Had breakfast and while relaxing we were approached by the police and asked to move on as it was a military area. Pity, beautiful area. We raised anchor and motor sailed back down to Our spot outside Durres Port.

Beautiful calm and light winds. Changing from the prevailing NW to a SSW wind for today and tonight. Motor sailed up to Capo Pali to anchor for the evening. Interesting coastline with old Albanian turrets etc.

Took a slow motor up to Port Romano and back. Making water and charging batteries. On the way back got fishing line and floats caught on starboard prop from a fishing float. Once anchored had to dive to inspect and clear the fishing line etc. Decided to clean starboard hull and will tackle port side soon.

Beautiful calm morning. Very little wind and swell for first third of the trip, then a fair wind and swell from abeam for the middle section and then fairly strong wind and swell on a broad reach ending with about 20 kts at Durres port.

Awake during the morning due to the big swells coming onshore and making it very unpleasant. At roughly 7.30 to 8 the weather started deteriorating, wind and waves picked up substantially! Contacted the Harbourmaster and requested permission to enter the port area for protection. Very helpful Harbourmaster approved and arranged a berth inside. On raising the anchor Murphy popped around and we were entangled in yet another crab pot and line at the most inoppertune time. Jackie and Jade struggled in very difficult conditions and eventually got the anchor up, we proceeded to the spot in the harbour which was very difficult to approach due to being blown onto and around a tug or two! Eventually had a safe mooring onto a wall with loose pipes etc. We were given permission to wait out the storm until about 2.30pm and then we left and found a good anchorage with swell protection a little way down the coast.
