Nice day, decent wind. Sailed to the large boats then did some maneuver practice.

We ended the week with a chill downwind sail back to the marina to return the boat. Our last dinner was on the boat to use up all our leftovers, and it was surprisingly good.

Fish Cay to Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands
We did a short sail to Christmas Cove where the had a wrecked boat on the shore, a fixer upper boat on anchor, and other visitors partying. Missy practiced anchoring and we settled into spend the day here. Jeff swam to the reef and got some good photos of sea life. Missy and Sara swam around the boat. Nathan caught up on his sleep.

Lovango Cay to Fish Cay, U.S. Virgin Islands
At Jost Van Dyke we hiked to the Bubbling Pool which was like a natural hot tub. Very cool with the tide rushing in with cooler water. We ate at a shack on the beach called Foxy’s Taboo which is the quintessential restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Then sailed to the US to check on but because the app rejected us we had to make a mad dash into Cruz Bay to pass customs in person. We then explored a bit before heading to Lovango for dinner. When we got there they were having their last day before closing bash, and we were able to crash the party and had an amazing buffet meal.

Man overboard training in the morning. Nice sail downwind along the northern shore of Tortola. Practicing Gybes. Took the helm on our own for most of it.

Colquhoun Reef to Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands
Started the morning at the baths, a jumble of boulders half submerged, making really cool haze of caves and passages. Brenton knew some secret paths so we experienced some really cool challenges from diving through underwater gaps to jumping from a cliff into the water. We then sailed to the Bitter End which is our furthest point. A few good restaurants are here to explore and do some practice in the sheltered harbor.
