Lovely day, despite threatening start of thunder and rain! Lively weather made for a good sail around Poole Bay. Thanks, Skipper!

Definition of variable! forecast up to 20 knot gusts. got 30+. Sun, rain, thunderstorm. Fun and hairy. Wind over tide and reef 3. Lovely company with John, Amanda and Caz. Two tea stops, in Beaulieu and Newtown. Amazing light either side of the thunderstorm.

Nice trip around the Solent. Flat calm at first, which only picked up properly around 3pm. Gentle sailing, and anchor in Osborne Bay.

Up to 30 knots. a bit more exciting than expected! lovely but tasty trip, Hamble-Cowes-Hamble. Lovely company with Seb, David, Steve and Jeff.

Fabulous trip to Cherbourg, including proper night sail Wednesday-Thursday. Some reefing and a good sea. Caught Spring tide 9 miles from port - max 1.8 knots for a while! Return trip was great. 10-12 knots WSW but made good progess, with a little intermittent motor sailing as well. Gennaka used, and went up the mast to feed through broken lazy jack lines. Fabulous company and excellent meal in Cherbourg.
