Left the cheltered bay while reaching into a window to pass through Active Pass. Clear skies, a nice breeze, and surf was manageable.

Montague Harbour, Canada to Point Roberts, United States
Calm seas and no noteworthy wind. So was motorsailing. Missed the window to go trough Active Pass and faul weather was in rhe forecast. Therefore disided to take a moaring boy for the night. Arrived at bay right before a furious thunderstorm broke loose.

Thetis Island to Montague Harbour, Canada
Neglectable to no wind. Motorsailing. Sunny and happy to be on the watter where it is cooler then on the hard.

Drew Rock to Thetis Island, Canada
Had some extra time on my roster. So decided to go out sailing again. Hopping the BC Gulf Islands while doing so. Clear Sky and a gentle breeze, calm seas. Temperature was about 19 Centigrade.

And so I ended my adventure to circumnavigation Vancouver Island. safely returned where I started. Cloudy but with a constant . South-western of 10 Knts with gusts into the 12 Knts. Did this last part under sail. Was a big trip. The first of this kind for me. Glad I did it and thankfull for the buddy- boats on this flotilla. Learned a lot and casually planning for the next sailing adventure

Reid Harbor to Point Roberts, United States
Stayed for 2 nights in Victoria, Bc. Casted off in the morning to take the boat back to her slip at the marina. Hoped to be able to raise the sails but wind was absent during my trip. Clear skies and sun made it complete

James Bay, Canada to Reid Harbor, United States
Initially I wanted to stop at Sooke, BC for this part of the trip, but decided to byte the bullet and proceed all the way to Victoria BC. Had to get up at dusk and departed very early. The forecast was for fog which would clear afterwards. Motorsailed the entire morning through the mist, on radar and instruments only. It was not until shortly after the noon that it cleared. Considered myself lucky because of it. Would have been a serious challenge to navigate into Victoria Harbour if it didn't. Safely arrived at the dock. Will stay here for 2 nights so i can do some sightseeing as well.

Port Renfrew to James Bay, Canada
From Bamfield to Port Renfrew. was an upwind trip that started with a very confused sea; A big NW surf was banging into a big SE surf. It made the trip a bit rocky. Yet, seastate eased and so did the wind. Port Renfrew was also the place where our flotilla separated and each of the boats went their separate ways. I plan on staying 2 nights in Port Renfrew. Thereafter I'll head onto my home stretch.

Bamfield to Port Renfrew, Canada
A short trip from Joe's bay to Banfield, Bc. The Broken Islands are relatively cheltered from the Pacific. So we did a scenic route. Clear Skies and a fair breeze. As we're only a few days sailing away from entering into the Juan De Fuca Strait, subsequently into the Salich Sea, our little flotilla is breaking up. I plan on exploring the San Juan isles while an other boat is heading for the Bc gulf islands.
