Peter Lawrence, Stewart Scott and Graham Sykes. Sailed under Cruising Chute alone to Horse Sands Fort. Hoisted early in Chichester harbour just out of Swire Deep. Dropped Cruising Chute hoisted Main 1xreef No 2 Jib. Across to Gillkicker Point on up towards Hamble Point then turned towards Cowes. Great fun learning radar techniques. Avoided many big boats! Attempted a three point fix by radar - needs practice.
