Quick motor down the ICW

Motored the ICW.

3 days and two nights. Motored down the ICW from Georgetown to Charleston exited to the Atlantic from Charleston harbor. Raised the sails and pointed the boat south. First night was a bit chilly with 15 knot winds and rolling seas. Dawn broke to more of the same. Good sailing continued all day at nightfall, the wind picked up quite a bit 18-24. Fortunately we had 2 reefs in the main and the Yankee-3 jib was doing its thing. The rolling seas prevented decent off watch naps and the squalls added a bit of discomfort to the watch. Wind died around 4am and so we turned the engine on for a few hours. We sailed most of the day until the wind died around 1pm. Motored to Ponce Inlet and down the ICW until our destination in New Smyrna.

Smooth motor down the ICW. Had trouble anchoring in Georgetown creek so we got a slip at HarborWalk Marina

Motored all day on the ICW.

Cold. Tough early morning getting up the anchor. Nice morning sail, the jib continues to impress. Wind died in the afternoon and we motored into Masonboro inslet

Cold. Really cold! Mix of sailing and motoring. 12-18knots of wind. Very pleased with the new jib. Anchored by Fort Macon

Mix of motoring down the canals and downwind jib only sailing across the rivers and sounds. 10-22knts of wind.

Motored the ICW. Killed some time in Albermarle sound by trying to sail while waiting out a bridge closure. We are seeing more and more southbound traffic
