Uenuku

No sun, not much wind but plenty of rain 😅☔️ 
Nice bay, we think we have seen a shark ?? 🦈 is it possible ? 

Sailing Day (part 2)

NW wind 15 knots 
We wanted to go to Oke Bay. 
We took 2 reefs and still went at 6 knots. 
The swell was getting bigger and the visibility was getting worse. 
Decided to stop at motuarohia island to think through the plan 🙈 


Sailing day with Uenuku (part 1)

NW wind 10 knot 
Main sail full at first + Genoa 
Then 1 reef on the main sail 


First day sailing Uenuku by our own 

Engine checks because of white smoke observed. 

Scratched all water plants this morning 

Sail to blacks rocks through Kent passage 

Arrived at Russel to stay overnight

Beautiful sunny day but very light wind this morning 
Lunch at Motuarohia Island
The wind got stronger at noon
We sailed back home with a nice NW wind 
Our highest speed was more or less 5 knots according to navionics

Very light wind today 

We managed to sail from Waiwhapuku Bay to Urupukapuka and circumnavigated Motuarohia Island without using the engine. That was long… 

Full main sail and #1 Genoa.
