Antoinette Wilkins

Antoinette joined us for a great day on the water. 8-16 knots with 18-20 knot gusts. Sailed into Swan Creek, dropping the sails at Osprey Point.

Southerly winds 7-10kts. Close hauled headed toward the bridge, boat speed ~5-5.5kts. Downwind speed 4-4.5kts

Nice wind with a hot spinnaker angle on last leg.

Extra spicy with a shorthanded crew. Layed great lines but couldn’t fly spinnaker with gusts to 19 and rolly seas.

Winds out of the SW 10-15 knots. We were able to sail right to the rendezvous.

Light winds throughout. Spinnaker leg turned into a close reach but with the light wind we were able to fly it at 60 for a bit.

Spicy sail back to Rock Hall. We hit 8kn with a reefed jib and double reefed main. Practiced trimming, moving cars, helming with gusts up to 17.

Light air for both races. More spotty for the second race. Lots of excitement though. We had a skied halyard, Rebecca went up the mast to retrieve it with a harness borrowed from another boat. We then had our best first leg ever until mark B bit us and we had to take a turn. We then furled the spinnaker in with the jib. We had a great day though sailing with a great group of women.

More wind than we expected. Got to sail quite a bit.
