Responded to a power boat in distress with a family onboard by the navy pier, towed them back to the fuel dock, slow going against the river current and ebb. Power vessel skipper and crew very inexperienced and were not well equipped with fenders or lines, no damage to either boat, hopefully a good learning experience for them. Other vessels nearby did not reduce speed when they could see an obvious towing situation so that was a bit discouraging.
