Thunder activity, rough awakening!

Awake during the morning due to the big swells coming onshore and making it very unpleasant. At roughly 7.30 to 8 the weather started deteriorating, wind and waves picked up substantially! Contacted the Harbourmaster and requested permission to enter the port area for protection. Very helpful Harbourmaster approved and arranged a berth inside. On raiing the anchor Murphy popped around and we were entangled in yet another crab pot and line at the most inopertune time. Jackie and Jade struggled in very difficult conditions and eventually got the anchor up, we proceeded to the spot in the harbour which was very difficult to approach due to being blown onto and around a tug or two! Eventually had a safe mooring onto a wall with loose pipes etc. We were given permission to wait out the storm until about 2.30pm and then we left and found a good anchorage with swell protection a little way down the coast.
