Large swell at times predominantly from the south east east mainly although there was a good running northerly swell that propelled The Boat well. Fairly consistent breeze from Batemans Bay had sale up in motor motorcycle most of the way trying to keep in front of the oncoming southerly. Maintain tack to most of the way to Eden had to pull the head sail down a few miles short of the turn right into Eden Bay as it I was pointing too . The picked up almost 30 kn Southeast. Rolled the Head sail out third reef for the last section sailing into the bay. The predicted 40 kn South Westerly did not prevail thankfully.

Light rain on departure 15 kn onshore from the south south east motored until north of Jarvis Bay where the conditions tripled in swell size very rough wind increased up to 25 kn rough seas for a matter of hours until past well passed Jarvis Bay where winds progressively declinedsails down 10 nautical miles from Port. Dinner at Bayview Hotel been renovated very good steak potatoes and veggies. Patient pen located first off tea facing east very Rowley some small waves on the sandbar.

Great conditions offshore. Up to 20 knts sided off around the gong and the 15knts NE with running .5m swell. Sunny and awesome 30l diesel from CYCA to Shellcove marina 9hrs total 0600hrs to 1500hrs

.8-.14m swell SE and N wind picked up to 20+ knots got a 30 knot gust entering the heads rounded up and furled in. Only had head sail up. Motor sailed all the way with revs at 2000-2200 rpm to get in. 25knt + through the harbour put ropes and fenders on at entrance of CYCA bay. Crab pot off Gosford 10 nautical miles off shore just missed after quick evasive manoeuvre. Only spotted a matter of meters from bow. Solo passage

0.5 meter swell 10-13knts NW both sails up and motor 2000Rpm 7-8knots boat speed. Fishing pots off the heads on the south side in the no fishing zone there was a whole field of them 15 or so over 5 minutes sailing time

Sth swell to start with NE a bit uncomfortable not much wind, motor sailed from the sea off port Mac. Sailed all night swell changed to NE quite rough boat got to 11 knts. Had to avoid container ship off seal rocks. Rough around seal rocks.. forward head hatch handle broke off. Mores on free morning alongside the D’albora marina. Will go in the marina as a blow is forcast.

Calm sea state south running 1.5 m swell sunny day. Many whales motored all the way 2000rpm approx

Sailed from the bar at port Stephens and motor sailed when necessary. Wind dropped completely 5nm out from Foster. Saw many whales and some dolphins. Foster not a good anchorage for me.
