Day 9: Nice sail from New Bedford YC to Sandwhich. Light rain. Sailed towards the canal and saw Brilliant on AIS on her ways from Martha's Vineyard back to Wareham. Crossed paths within 20 yards and shared pics. Upon heading into the wind to douse the sails before entering the canal, the Genoa came down with the halyard at the top. Somehow the mousing had failed and shackle pin backed out slowly over season. Beautiful passage thru the Canal to Sandwhich marina on the north side. Met friends in the area for a nice dinner.

Motored no wind. "Drafted" off of Therapy all the way. Bid farewell to them as we headed into Padanaram and they a bit further north to New Bedford. Great fun with the CANE crew. Staying one night at the New Bedford YC.
