Based in Jersey I’ve successfully completed the RYA Start Sailing Level 1 in April, and also just completed and passed the RYA Competent Crew qualification. I’m really enjoying getting out in the water and my confidence and competence is growing with every day under sail. Jersey and the corresponding French coast has such incredible waters with huge variations of tide, weather, a very rocky coast with many marks and lights at night, it’s a beautiful place to learn that keeps you on your toes.

Trip down interrupted by requirement to Mayday call near Granville for person onboard (not in this crew list). Casualty airlifted off by helicopter whilst escorted by SNSM Lifeboat. Thanks to the rescue service
