The Great New Years Day Race 10-15 knots wind

light winds to start....6 knots picked up to 12 by afternoon.

5 to 9 knots of wind. we sailed to the Mooring field. practiced Mooring, changing out positions on the boat. ate lunch in the mooring field and motored back.

Goal of the day was to practice Mooring. we sailed about an hour in very light wind. motored to mooring field where we took turns approaching mooring balls and securing to mooring balls. Ate lunch moored. motored back. John drove back under power and parked Skywalker with true professionalism. Day of learning

GREAT DAY. Kimberly basically single handed. I rolled out Main and Jib and put them away. I tended the Main and she stepped out and told me to stand down that she would work the jib, and she did. tacked south, ate a tuna salad sandwich. on the north run some wing on wing and beared off toa great Beam Reach back to broad and sailed back to pier. impeccable day!!

started SLOW, paddled about an hour, but wind picked up. Headed south and made to turn to dam. turned around for lunch and made our way back. it a good day when you can sail @6kts.

10 to 18 with gust to 26. reefed in took a few minutes but boat and crew settled down and settled in with a smooth ride. Kimberly worked main sail to keep boat upright.
