Weather assessment: Sourced marine weather forecasting (BOM, Predict Wind). Radio Communications: Practiced VHF protocol, including Channel 16 monitoring and correct call sign usage. Docking: Practiced docking procedures against a fixed pier using spring lines and fenders. Mooring: Picked up a club mooring buoy in Williamstown and secured bow line. Anchoring: Anchored with appropriate length of chain, monitored for holding and swing radius. Man Overboard Drill: Simulated MOB and practiced motoring figure-eight recovery.
