Final leg of the canal as we made it back into the Firth of Clyde - seems so long ago that we were here! Nice sunny sail before wind died and we motored to Millport to anchor for a swim , lovely meal ashore then a beautiful sunset

Beautiful sunny day to go through the canal if a little slow with a 3 hour wait to get going! First time on the trip that we have felt too hot so we really can’t complain! Nice setting to watch the football although the wrong result 😒

Early start in sunshine to motor to get through the infamous Corryvrekan - even in flat calm an at neeps we were doing 11.8 knots through whirlpools! Onwards for a lunch stop in castle bay then into the basin for the night to do the canal tomorrow. Nice walk up in woodlands and great vista of all the islands we’ve been exploring these last few weeks. Beautifully still evening.

What a great day! Left Port Ellen in glorious sunshine which stayed all day. Through the Sound of Islay to Oronsay with stunning beaches where Jazzy and Suzy swam…. jazzy swimming from the shore back to the boat which was much more impressive than her mother!! Then on to Jura for an idyllic anchorage, another swim and a lovely sunset

Lovely day firstly motoring from Loch Sween for a lunch stop at Ghia with paddle and walk ashore. Then a gorgeous sail across to Port Ellen in the sunshine with dolphins along the way. Perfect picnic pizza before back on board to watch England reach the semi-finals! Decided to stay an extra day on Islay and hired bikes for a beautiful ride to a spectacular peninsula followed by a swim on truly white sand!

Still morning, motored for a bit then lovely sail with the chute up as we spotted seal with pup, porpoises and another white tailed sea eagle. Greek salad for the lunch on the way, proof that we are finally enjoying some sunshine! Ice cream along the shore then a lovely walk before supper and a sunset

Beautifully calm anchorage last night. Easy motor back then through Cuan Sound with strong tide to pick up buoy the other side of the pool of the otter. Utterly still so lovely paddle board around an island then a walk to the pub for supper

So we’re finally back on the move again after a busy week! Went home to welcome Jazzy back from her travels - managed a flying visit to see mum and then got treated to seeing Mumford and Sons (and Shania Twain!) at Hyde Park which was great and very sunny! Then back up to a wet and cold Scotland… enjoyed the football then stayed in the marina for the rain to go… Today was a different story! motored to Loch Feochan which we had all to ourselves. Sun came out and Jazz and I paddled to a local hotel for a beer then back for a swim, supper on board and then watching the Wimbledon highlights with Arthur Fery making it to the semis!
