Sailing for years — four years Firefly team racing for Sherborne, two Itchenor Schools Weeks. Moved into keelboats: two RORC offshore races on Quailo III, two J/70 training weekends at the Squadron (won a day’s racing), and Cowes Week with a first-time amateur crew, holding our own against professional crews. Day Skipper qualified, with 800 miles training in Greece and 600 miles offshore racing on Quailo III in the Channel.
