Little wind. Motor sailed to Hook Passage then motor only.

Short engine trip to Whitehaven beach from Chalkie’s

Short trip to Chalkie’s Bay. Nice 15kt sailing on a reach. 

Whitsundays Day 5

Winds to 18kts, upwind trip against tide. Engines from 11:30 as the mid-tide made it impossible to make reasonable time. Good practice shaking out reefs and re-reefing as wind conditions changed in the morning.

Lunch at Stonehaven. Mostly sailing.
Winds 15-25 SE. Night in Nara Inlet in Hook Island.

From Coral Sea Marina to CID Harbour. Motoring since need to get CID harbour before 4pm. Late start due to charter company briefing.
