Wind 5-10kn from the SW. Shifting to NW later in the evening. Sea state clam. Was not planning on FS. Rigging in the middle. Short handed. Doing FS to the upwind mark after wind shift.

Wind 5-10kt from NE. Sea state ~3ft Generally OK with upwind. Start playing crew weight distribution. Struggle with the current taking the boat down and not able round the upwind mark. DNF.

Wind N ~10kt Sea state clam Flying sail with the smaller Asym. No major problem. Almost broach but able to recover. Note: - When you feeling exciting with the kite, check gust from behind (bear away for little more control) - Work flow - thinking about how not to walk back and forth for the bow man (hoisting kite and dropping jib)

Wind 10kt. Sea state clam. Last day of the charter. Basically just rhumb line to the base. Head sail + motor again. We docked as fuel dock. Docking is simple along side.

Wind 10-15 kts. Sea state 4-6 fts. We were heading out early today for long segment. Sailing with head + motor again. We lowered the head sail to navigate through the Thatch Island Cut. Navigating through Thatch Island cut is simple. Everything is visible. But traffic is definitely busier (i.e. watch for ferry). Sea state is ~6ft. Boat slammed into the wave when heading up to the wind. Once we can sail, we raised the head sail and head to the Indians. Indians was very busy and we can’t found a ball. We end up snorkelled at the Cave instead. We then headed to the Bight trying to visit Willy’s T. No luck with mooring ball. One the way to Peter Island, Denise was asking me to sail by the Indians again. This time there was only one boat hooked up to the ball. We quickly grabbed one and let the kids snorkelled there for 15min. They said it is nice!! We booked a ball at Peter Island Marina. The mooring field is actually in Deadman Bay. The boat definitely swung a lot. The mooring field barely shield us from the wave. Moreover, we all got bitten up alive by mosquito here!!! Note to self: we run out of dinghy gas and can’t head to dinner on shore. Get 2-stroke oil before head out next time. Can’t find in Scrub and Peter.

Wind 10kt - 15kt. Sea state 2-3 ft. Finally we have the main sail up (2-reef). Destination is almost dead down wind. Sailing a broad reach just to relax. Overnight mooring at Diamond Cay. We got a BoatyBall and the boat hook is fixed. So it is a simple head it approach. Anchorage is clam (slept like a pig).

Wind clammed a bit today back down to 15kt. Sea state ~6ft. Sailing was similar. We had head sail up + motor. It started raining in the middle and Evan was definitely stressed about the sea state and the heel of the boat. Reduced head and continue. Navigating to Scrub Island Marina via Cam Bay is relatively straightforward. The channel has enough width for passing. We were asked to back to the slip with the wind. Shit show. I hit the bow of s/v Moose when I aborted the approach. Luckily the damage is not big. Need to give more instruction to the rolling fender next time.

Bitter End Yacht Club to Anegada Wind 25+ gust to 30. Sea state ~6ft We did head sail + motor only. Sailing is relatively simple. Need few adjustments for the navigation to correct cross track. Again, no hook available. We needed to back to mooring ball in heavy wind. Surprise we caught it the first time, but we lost the line when adjusting it. Luckily local came to help and we did a front approach instead. Anchorage is a bit rolling and is not as less boat as I expected. But local said it is way less boats.

BVI Charter Day 2 at sea Wind 25 gust to 30. Steady from the E. Sea state 2-5 ft. Sail the trip with head sail + motor. Really surprise Denise can sleep through the trip right beside the engine. Overnight mooring at bitter end yacht club. Boat hook snapped when catching the ball. Cushion overboard while in the chaos. Big show for people around us while fetching the cushion and backing to the ball.
