Warm autumn day, light wind and bright sunshine. Cruise liner Artania anchored in the Sound with her shuttle boats cross-crossing to the Barbican landing. RRS Sir David Attenborough alongside at Devonport dockyard taking-on additional supplies for the British Antarctic Survey

Glorious September weather; calm sea. But the fish weren’t biting!

Beautiful sunshine for an August BH - trip out to the Sound for some fishing. A brisk S / SE breeze whipped-up a bit of a chop against the ebb, so not ideal conditions for fishing. Headed up the Tamar and did a bit of drifting about on wind and tide. No fish-again!!

Fishing trip turned into a rescue! Lovely conditions on Plymouth Sound allowing some drift fishing inside the breakwater. Catastrophic electrical failure prevented engine from being restarted. Hasty anchoring and a call to Plymouth VTS. Plymouth University dive boat “Wavedancer” came to our rescue and towed us to QAB. Big shout-out to the crew and students aboard Wavedancer for their help.

A lovely summer evening in Plymouth Sound. Gentle WSW breeze to make conditions ideal for motor cruising but enough to keep the racing yachts happy. A quick inspection of HMS Portland and a wave to the passengers onboard the Armorique!

Very gentle motor up the Orwell in bright and warm sun to meet some other Moody owners in Ipswich basin.
