Garrykennedy to Ballyvaughan, Ireland

dark angel
Shipman 28
Wind was westerly veering south westerly 10 to 20 knots. Sailing north to just beyond Illaunmore with westerly winds gave a fast broad reach. The initial average speed was reading 6 knots, not too far off the max hull speed. On the return leg the shifting wind meant a close haul back to Garrykennedy. Cooler conditions and more choppy waters made the chowder and tasty food in Larkins all the better.
