Too little wind then too much

I agree, I usually find Prawle more bother than Start Point. It seems to go on forever and the wind/sea are usually much rougher. It is a relief to get past and into calmer waters. Yes we arrived in Salcombe week - we found to our surprise! The water taxi man said that it was quieter than usual, and the rafting on buoys was 2-up rather than 3 or 4, so it wasn’t too bad. We went to Salt Stone in the morning to wait for the tide and even that was busy. Salcombe is a mad sort of place, very lovely but also crazy, so it was nice to visit and then to move on. Busy in the Yealm and even Fowey is busier than I’ve seen it. That’s what comes of going in July and August. But in this weather I’m not complaining.
