Garrykennedy to Dromineer, Ireland

dark angel
Shipman 28
After a fraught start due to dragging anchor, the spring mooring line was not stowed and wrapped around the prop killing the engine. We chose to continue to race, but what should have been good conditions (choppy 1m waves, 15kn wind with 25kn gusts) for our boat turned out quite difficult with poor speed into the wind and an overpowered headsail (main was in first reef). After finishing the race, with a last place time of 3 hours we continued to dromineer and sailed onto the marina. A tough day, but highlighted several issues both with preperation, leaving the dock and equipment let downs.
