Shyam's first day

A very calm day in the harbor, both in terms of boat traffic and wind. A very mild easterly ranging 5-7 knots made it a perfect day to take Shyam on his first day. Having a jib furler makes Plover so much easier to launch and wrap up. Shyam learned the basics of sailing physics, tacking, jibing, and steering. Having two crew would have been more fun, but having limited hands on deck makes you more aware and resourceful as a skipper.
