It was a great day to play in puffs and sharpen skills on mainsheet, jib sheets, reading water, maneuvering around lots of traffic (anchored and moored boats, kayakers/swimmers and busy channels, cargo ships etc). Steve grabbed the helm around Goat Island and did a lot of tacking and jibing and is more confident with the mainsheet as well.
