MYC racing

Drizzly with moderate winds, maybe 8-10 kn SE. Had I for crew and two friends F and C onboard. Took a call from the pediatrician and ran hard aground (sand at least) but was a bit scary as we were leeshored. Tried to kedge from stern thinking that'd be the best way off, from whence we came. Worked a smidge, but without bringing the bow through the wind we'd never get away from shore. Tried to kedge from the bow next with help of winch and we snapped the rode! Luckily, A and B on the launch boat came and helped us with a tow. Took a few attempts and proper weight distribution, but we got off. Had to leave the anchor with a fender for a float for later retrieval. Ended up racing second and third races placing fourth and third of four.
