Strong northerly gusting up to 25 knots. Sailed downwind with part Genoa averaging 6 knots boat speed through narrow channels between islands. Rubber dinghy capsized trailing behind the boat but managed to right itself soon after. Berthed in yacht club marina. Marina raised the Australian flag in honour of the boat and crew. Will is cooking his famous fried rice for dinner. Borrowed a bike to buy some extra ingredients

Winds 3-8 knots from north west. Sailed downwind in part with full spinnaker. Wind dropped out, motored for 1 hour before light wind returned from north east. Berthed in world heritage archipelago island. Facilities set up for school camps. Enjoyed Sauna and dip into sea. Bertil cooked meatballs and sausage on cream sauce.

Headed south into direction of wind and rain. Wind was gusting to 20 knots. Wore full wet weather gear. Motor sailed behind islands for protection and to see waterfront cabins. Motored past naughtor swan boat yard. Kept within navigation channels due to shallow water and rocks. Weather unlikely to improve. May stay at yacht club marina for extra day.

Sailing downwind part with spinnaker. 3-10 knots of wind. Sailed across Bay of Bothnia from Sweden to Finland. Bertil cooked meatballs and sausage with bean sauce. Again washed down with an aperitif, beer and an Australian red wine.

Upwind sail in light wind from Finland back to Sweden. Turned engine on for large portion of trip. Explored Sandskar village and chapel. Enjoyed the local sauna fired up by Will. Bertil prepared a cod dinner in a crème sauce with a little chilli. Potatoes boiled with dill. Washed down with aperitif, a glass of beer and a South African white wine

Light easterly winds required tacking upwind until wind died away. Motored for large portion of leg. Hit an uncharted submerged rock. Extent of damage to boat unknown. Arrived in Selka-Sarvi late afternoon. Enjoyed a authentic Finnish Sauna and plunge into bay

7-12 knots north to northeast. Calm seas. Sailed only with Genoa. Anchored within secluded bay at Seskaro Island, Sweden. Perfect still evening, clear sky. Marinara pasta dinner with white wine courtesy of our Skipper, Bertil
