We sailed!!!!!!!! We actually turned off the motor for the whole time we were out of the shadow of the islands! It was glorious. We will miss our friends in Dominica but are excited for baguettes and crepes and volcano museums :)

Winds higher than predicted. 28 sustained but we were able to manage the sea state so it wasn’t too bad. New style of mooring ball with a metal ring. In the end receding onto ended up being the easiest way to catch it.

Agreed we’re never doing that again.

Got in before 9am per Chris Parker’s recommendations and had a beautiful easy hop up to Salinas to park the boat for my next work trip. Tucked in to the mangroves and enjoying the gorgeous mountain views.

Some big swells but overall gentle ride. So grateful we dragged ourselves out of bed at 3:30 to make the jump before the wind kicked up.
