I was lucky to learn sailing on keelboats, dinghies and beach cats as a member of the WYC at the UW-Seattle. I sailed and drank with many keelboat & dinghy skippers, each with many years of different experience, skills and sailing perspectives. More importantly than teaching me sailing, they taught me how to crew. Preparation, awareness, communication and attitude; none less important than the other.
