The day has finally arrived for us both to head off on our⛵️ adventure 😱 We departed Haslar Marina at 13:30. Motored out of Portsmouth Harbour, swung a right in the inner swash way, hoisted the main with one reef in, unfurled the stay sail & hoisted the mizen. The first hour was a lovely sail and the winds picked up. It got rather feisty sailing to Yarmouth! Gusts up to 24 😳 😱 We nearly turned round & bought a camper van! Glad we didn’t have poor Charlie 🐈 on board, he would have abandoned the ship literally 😬 Now sitting in The Bugle having a drink to steady the nerves after that 🤣
