Went out into the Sound for a local sail and to test the new lazy jack lines were positioned correctly. The mainsail was much easier to raise without the battens getting caught in the lines. Once we passed the breakwater the wind picked up to W20-23. We had one reef in each sail and felt comfortable - just! We returned into the Sound and the wind and seas died down in the lee of the land. Locked in to the Marina during a lull. Berthed from the opposite direction after reversing into the channel.

Plymouth, United Kingdom
Raised mainsail and raised anchor after a great 2 nights at Frogmore CK. Good sailing back with the wind and tide behind us as predicted and we managed over 4kt average. Lovely sunny day and slight seas. Arrived back just as the lock was opening freeflow. Perfect!

Salcombe to Plymouth, United Kingdom
Lovely sail with main only and the west wind and tide pushing us along. Wind whipped up to 20kts as we turned to enter Salcombe. It had abated by the time we anchored at Frogmore CK and we had a peaceful night. Great walk along path beside Frogmore CK - collected some lovely blackberries - and swim from the boat.

Very slow sail to Penlee Pt. Then motor to Eastern Cove of Rame Hd. Another boat anchored there and not enough room- so we motored back into Cawsand Bay and anchored at Cavehole Pt for lunch and a swim. Elvis cleaned the bottom with a brush. Then a quick motor back to lock in- radio issues with the lock not responding.

We motored to Jennycliffe Bay where Elvis tried wakeboarding and managed to get up!! The wind picked up so we raised sails and headed out to sea. Then had a good sail to Whitsand bay where the wind dropped. Elvis had another wakeboarding session. Then we anchored at Polhawn Cove for lunch and a swim. The wind picked up again and we sailed back under jib. Great day out!

Return journey on same day was much faster with the wind behind us and just the jib out. Sea was a bit turbulent around the Mew Stone but otherwise fine

Wembury to Plymouth, United Kingdom
Good sailing to the Mew Stone but then wind on the nose. Tacked around it but then motor sailed to Cellar Bay. Nice visit to the Ship Inn in the tender and then a swim and paddle board back in the bay. Return journey was faster with the wind behind us and just the jib out

E11-15 on the nose. Tried tacking but it was taking too long. Engine on off Polperro and continued on a direct course motor sailing. Delightful visit by Pod of dolphins. Wind eased as we entered Plymouth Sound.

Polkerris to Plymouth, United Kingdom
Slow motor around the coast. Very picturesque. Calm night at anchor.

Mevagissey to Polkerris, United Kingdom
lovely gentle sail to Mevagissey. Anchored just outside at Polstreath beach. Very picturesque and great weather. Visited Mevagissey in the tender. Had the beach to ourselves for an early morning swim. Glorious!
