Great day practicing MOB and ferry gliding.

Light winds but had some help from the tide on the flood. Lots of fun sailing on the spinnaker and goose winging our back to Eastbourne. Managed to see a seal and porpoise as we were coming up to the headland.

Much shallower than anticipated inside Brighton Marina. The keel touched the bottom as we were departing. Boat draft was 1.9m. Headed to Newhaven for lunch on the visitors pontoon before heading to Shoreham for the night.

Broad reach to beachy head. Wind dropped so we had to motor some of the way. Sailed the rest of the passage to Brighton.

Winds 5 - 18 knots. Clear and sunny. Westerly winds
