we left the Strait of Messina with a prediction of 15kts expected but the wind supposed to arrive almost a day later arrived early and we were in 25kts gusting to 35 with a building sea for 43 hours across the Ionian Sea. We had left Italy where fires were blazing across the landscape and ashes falling on the deck with 100-110degree weather as helicopters and airplanes scooped water to control the fires and arrived in Paxos, a lovely place with beautiful water, beaches and food to enjoy.

A beautiful last leg of a two week sailing trip that began in Palermo. On this leg we left Anti Paxos and arrived at Preveza where we fueled up and then moored at the city front berths.
