Light winds and an easy sail down the coast. Tried to anchor in Governors Harbor but couldn’t get a hold. Went around the corner to Cupid cay.

Conditions were great for crossing the Gulf Stream. Very light and variable winds from the east. We motored with the main sail up all day, got some wind assist off. Gentle swells. Clear sunny day and we loved the heat! Owen did a little fishing but no luck. Clearing customs was easy, I had completed everything online. Booked a slip and checked in at Old Bahamas Bay Marina. Passed the Margaritaville cruise ship in the Lake Worth inlet on our departure this morning, pilot boat told us to follow them and stay in their stern to guide us past the cruise ship safely! It was close.

9-13 knots true wind broad reach. 1ft waves. Sailed with Bokensha but had to motor sail about halfway. Left at 5 am to optimize wind. It died around 8:20a. Snorkeled the plane crash at Norman’s Cay at low tide. Anchored with Spoondrifters and Eric and Anna came by to deliver Michael’s halyard.

Saddle Back Cay to Creek Village, Bahamas
15 knot wins and 6 ft waves. Derek started feeling sea sick again and I had to stop working because it was rough around the north end where the cruise ships park. The shallower water was much better. The starboard engine quit working making the motor upwind in the north end difficult on port engine only. We were only moving at 3 knots and was hard to turn the corner to sail again.
