Flushing to Penzance, United Kingdom

Nomad
Dufour 382 Grand Large
The first passage with the leg 4 crew enjoyed 8 to 12 knot winds and sunshine heading to Newlyn. Sailing on broad and then beam reach to the Lizzard allow us to make good speed hitting 9.4 knot SOG at times. The Lizzard overfalls were not a problem. But we did have a strange incident with a small Whale / large Dolphin which seemed to make contact with our yacht. But both seemed fine afterwards. With the wind now on the nose we finally dropped the sails to motor into the busy fishing port of Newlyn. We had time for a drink in the Red Lion which had some folk musicians play which was really atmospheric.
