4 POB: Ross, Lynn, Alex, and Lisa. Barely any wind. Not paying attention while drifting and caught a lobster pot. Freed ourselves, started engine, and began motoring towards the north side of Peddocks Island to pick up a mooring for some swimming while waiting for predicted winds to kick in. However, short of West Gut, the engine lost power. A quick check revealed a blown heat exchanger gasket. Shut down the engine and headed back towards home under sail (the winds had slightly increasing to 2 knots). Deployed the swim ladder and tailing a horseshoe. Winds gradually picked up. With all on board we sailed for a bit, through the channel, and picked up the ball under sail. Inboards are overrated! lol Winds kicked in, as predicted, minutes after we picked up the ball.
