Conditions & Weather Experienced intense localized conditions with 4-5 squalls passing through. Wind was heavy, peaking at 41 kts. Sea state was active but manageable under the chosen sail plan. Sailing Configuration To maintain control in the gusts, we ran with the headsail only. This kept the boat balanced and powered up without the risk of an accidental gybe in the heavy air. Performance Wind Angle: Constant adjustment between 120° and 160°. Max Boat Speed: Hit a top speed of 9 kts surfing downwind.
