Full A&E sequence for skipper test with Roger and Mike. Pre departure checklist, rules or 12 explained, effect of tide upon undocking and consequences of tide flooding onto boat speed (speed over ground or over water, which is faster in that condition?), instructions to crew before departure, release leeward lines first, pull bow line to port to compensate for prop walk, look back and undocking at appropriate speed, reversing and stalling the boat at the end of slip channel waiting for ongoing traffic, adjust the boat to point the bow to port to compensate for prop walk, reverse, instructions and preparation for side tie docking. Side tie at pump out station with 2 crew stepping off: one for bow line and the second for stern line, once the boat is secured and next to dock, stern line can come back aboard and wait for instructions to release. Bow line comes to mid ship cleat (on dock) and get ready to pull in to spring off (previously put a fender at the bow). Forward idle and pull in bow line, once stern is out about 6ft, uncleat bow line and reverse. Reverse exercise parallel to dock (twice). Forward approach to channel marker Q, into the wind, downwind, cross wind. Reverse approach same directions. MOB under power leaving MOB on leeward (protects the person from waves). Hoist of the main sail head to wind and close reach. Tight figure 8 between channel marker W and informational buoy (all points of sail). MOB under sail leaving MOB on leeward side.
