Pen-Hir to Île-Molène, France

Pretty Peggy
Westerly Fulmar 32
An early start to make sure I had the tide with me up Chenal de Four before bearing NW up Chenal de la Helle and turning off through Chenal de Laz- all very well marked and straightforward if no strong cross curents to deal with. Winds were enough to sail, but not enough to make the speed I needed to arrive in time, so some sailing and some motoring. Molene harbour has visitor moorings, and although there were several boats here already there were a few free, which I managed to pick up OK despite having been deserted by my trusty crew! Not as tricky as SYC! Went for a paddle around the island at about low water when the tide was reasonably slack, a beautiful and wild landscape, especially down the west coast. Must be formidable in winter.
