Lots of FAD’s on the way in, so must be some good fishing. Time to bust out our new rod and reel. Might even fly our brand new drone for the first time 🫶🏼⛵️

Pulau Godon to Banda Sea, Indonesia
Had a lazy sail up to this beautiful little island, which is surrounded by a fringing reef, making anchoring a delight. The fish are plentiful as you can see them swimming everywhere even from all the way up on the deck. Boo Boo’s mind is already blown. There is a gorgeous little aqua sand beach to rival Whitehaven. Home for the night, blessed.

Banda Sea to Pulau Ler, Indonesia
Arrived at our new anchorage and this time had an issue with the winch dropping the anchor. We had an issue with it coming up, as the chain appears to be too heavy for the solenoid, which we are planning to upgrade in Sorong, however we may divert to Tual now.

Pulau Namwaan to Adodo, Indonesia
Yet another slow day of sailing. Not a lot of wind again, so we tried numerous sail configurations to try and make the most of it, but eventually gave in and threw the motor on for the last part. Apparently no wind seems to be the theme here in Indo at the moment. We g have found a nice little anchorage in what looks like a cut out in the fringing reef. A little village is around the corner so we may get a few visits from the locals. We are staying here tomorrow as it is my Birthday, so we want to relax, go pick coconuts and swim.

Pulau Wolas to Desa Teineman, Indonesia
So we left the cute little fishing Village and headed further ENE in the hopes of finding a nice little spot for a swim. It was a slow sail as the winds here in Indonesia are almost nonexistent, which is a lovely change from our past 3 months of sailing. We have made the decision to just go where the wind takes us and in no hurry. There are so many places to anchor here that we can literally just sail till we feel like stopping. As we approached a possible anchorage for the night, we began checking Google Earth images, and other anchorage apps to get some indication of what this place is going to be like. We found a shallow spot in about 5 metres of sand at high tide just out from a very cute little beach with palm trees and what appeared to be a house. As I went to put the anchor down I had to release the lock by using the up button only to find it was clicking but not moving. This was the beginning of a whole mess. We made the choice to drop the anchor and deal with getting it up at a later date. Now the exploring has begun to work out what the issue is. Looks like we may have to move here, hahaha.
